A finely crafted and wonderfully complex Champagne demonstrating fantastic richness and complexity! Domaine Andre Jacquart are a family owned Champagne house based in Vertus on the Cote des Blans. It is run by brother and sister team Pierre Jacquart and Chantal Doyard-Jacquart, assisted by Chantal’s daughter Marie. Andre Jacquart is world renowned for their brilliance with the Chardonnay grape. The wines made here tend to be elegant, graceful and classic in style. Colour: light pink and small bubbles The bubbles are very nice, they tickle your tongue. Nose shows wild strawberry, raspberry, violet, hibiscus. The palate is fruity: wild strawberries, currants, mineral but very dry on the finish. The palate is crisp and very fresh with delicate, high toned red fruits, like wild strawberries and currants. Xxcellent length and a wonderful clean finish. The Champagne is made by traditional method from 80% Pinot Noir with 20% Chardonnay in blend, all from 2005 harvest. Pinot Noir from an old parcel in Vertus was harvested at perfect maturity and macerated for 6 to 12 hours to give colour was blended with 20% Chardonnay. Chardonnay grapes are from Vertus and Mesnil sur Oger. The alcoholoic fermenatation was in 100% oak barrels then it was aged for 8 months in barrels and vats an got light filtering.No malolactic fermentation: to maintain a maximum of freshness. Bottle fermentation followed by ageing for 2 years in the cellar. Settling of the wines after disgorging: between 3 to 12 months. Fantastic value for money Champagne that will blow you away!
