Description
A rich, full bodied red wine with aromas of dark fruit with spice complemented by elegant oak flavours through to a fine, smooth finish. Minervois is a appellation for distinctive Red Wines from the western Languedoc in France. In general they are more supple than those produced in Corbieres, just to the south. The Minervois title also covers white and rose wines. Hand harvested, of only the grapes with optimal maturity, from the best plots of the vineyard. Traditional vinification. The Syrah is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels (50% in new barrels and 25% in second year barrels). The Grenache is aged in stainless steel tanks.
